We received a call today from one of the coordinating nurses for the surgery on Friday. She confirmed what I already suspected, Scott will in fact be in the hospital for our first wedding anniversary on Sunday May 3rd :( .

Scott's scheduled for a stress test tomorrow. His cardiologist wants to make sure Scott's up for the tonsillectomy next week. I'm the one that talks with the doctors so when the nurse told me earlier this week that Scott would need to have no caffine for 24 hours leading up to the test I cringed. Scott loves Mtn Dew. When I told Scott I actually took a step away from him (jokingly) to deliver the news. Suprisingly he took it well. Today is the no caffine day and Scott has handled it well - he's been asleep all day. I guess that is a great way to avoid things. Fingers crossed, everything goes well in the morning!

Hi everyone - One of the things I'm wanting to do is share with you all the "jouney" that Scott and I are on with his Type 1 Diabetes which led to kidney failureand now his upcoming transplant. Educating ourselves has been a huge process of all of this. Today we went to Emory's transplant website to educate ourselves on the transplant process.... I had found this info a few months ago and have had time to digest everything. However, Scott is learning a lot of this for the first time. He has taken to the bed to digest... Here's a link to the page that has him "freaked out"
