Scott's pain medication keeps him from driving so I've added the Chauffeur hat into my rotation this week. He has dialysis three times a week and that's at least an hour round trip for me. Then I have to pick him up it 5:30am. On top of that he's had three doctor's appoinments this week. Bless all you mothers whose children participate in ...extra-curricular activities...whew! Tuesday was the follow-up on the tonsillectomy - Scott got a "perfect!" Ataboy :). Today we had the kidney (nephrologist) and the diabetes (endocrinologist) doctor appointments. Both appointments went fine, except that Scott missed a dose of pain medication during the night (he insists that he can manage his medicine - okay) so he was in a LOT of pain. At the diabetes doctor he got sick during the appointment. Can't imagine that felt good on his throat. Once we finished with the doctor they drew blood to run labs. We didn't know they were planning to draw bloodScott had not eaten anything today. Guess who just about passed out.
On a touching note - Scott's diabetes doctor today - the LPN (I think that's her title) offered to make us a hand knit blanket to raffle off at a later date to help us raise funds. It made me cry, so touching.
