Scott's tonsillectomy went well yesterday. The doctor told me post op that it was most likely his uvula that was contributing to the sleep apnia - it was larger than normal. Scott's goal with this surgury was to get a better night's sleep. His sleep study showed that he stops breathing up to 40 time per hour during any... given night's sleep. With the upcoming transplant Scott wants to alleviate any negative medical issues if possible before the transplant. As an added bonus, Scott needs to lose about 10 - 15 ponds to satisfy his transplant team. With the tonsillectomy he should drop at least half of that this coming week.
Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers. Now if we can just find his clothes - they got moved between post-op and dialysis at the hospital yesterday and haven't been located...
