Scott and I want to thank all the guys that came out yesterday to play some softball! They started with a "round robin" and from there moved into the tournament. The games started at 10am - on the nose - and it was 3:30pm before ANY of the teams sat down. These guys are in it for the love of the sport - wow! We met several folks that are planning on attending next weeks CO-ED fundraising tournament too. The few we spoke with have "broken out" their core teams so that they can have more teams participate - which mean more money is being raised for Scott's medical costs and his transplant. The thanks to all of you are endless and from the bottom of our hearts - THANK YOU!!

For those planning on attending the Co-Ed next weekend - Sat, June 6th a few things...The Heard County Recreation Center just built a new facility. The tourney is being played at the OLD facility. There is NO signage at the entrance to the OLD facility. Here's the trick, when you find the river in Franklin you've fo...und the correct facility. The ball feild facility are right next to the river. The park also has a playground for kids and a skate park for teens. You can also fish along the river - but you must have a current fishing license. There is also a boat ramp - for you, should you be interested.

The ball fields are fully exposed to the weather. Yesterday we had wonderful weather, but full sun - all day. Please plan accordingly with clothes, hats and sunscreen! There is a concession stand. They have water, powerade, and sodas. The also sell candy, snacks, hotdogs and hamburgers. Again, plan accordingly - coolers are welcome.
